Proposition S - Safer Students. Stronger Schools.

  • Proposition S On April 2, 2019 Springfield Public Schools asked the community to vote on Proposition S, an 18-cent increase to the debt-service levy to fund 39 high-priority projects identified by the Community Task Force on Facilities.  The proposed projects included renovations or reconstruction for 6 schools, creating safer entrances at 31 schools, plus adding classroom space to expand preschool services in northwest and southwest Springfield.  Proposition S addressed key issues including safety, accessibility and quality.  The voters approved Proposition S with 61.22% yes votes.
