Early Childhood Center - Progress as Promised

  • In April 2019, Springfield voters approved Proposition S which enables Springfield Public Schools to make facility improvements to a number of schools, including building a new early childhood center. SPS will invest $12.69 million to build this new center on the Carver campus.  New construction will:

    • Provide a safe room.
    • Capitalize on state funding for operation costs for free/reduced lunch qualified preschool students.
    • Serve up to 250 preschool students.
