Seniors: Every Springfield Public Schools student is required to take either the ACT or the ASVAB before graduation; if you have not taken either of these assessments, you should plan to take one in April.
The ASVAB Career Exploration Program is an assessment that helps students discover their strengths and interests so they may map out post-secondary plans that work for them. The ASVAB will be offered free of charge at Hillcrest on Tuesday, April 6 at 8:30 a.m., and it will be administered on paper/pencil. If you prefer to take the ASVAB, please ensure you check in at Hillcrest before 8:30 a.m. on April 6 and report to the cafeteria.
The ACT is a college admissions test that measures what students have learned in high school to help determine their academic readiness for college. The ACT will be offered free of charge at Hillcrest High School on Wednesday, April 21 at 7:55 a.m.; the district provides funding for our students to take this test. If you do not take the ASVAB, you will be registered for the ACT and must take it on April 21. You will need your charged Chromebook, a calculator and ID.
These assessments are graduation requirements! If you have questions, please contact Ms. Cowan at 417.523.8011 or firstname.lastname@example.org
