Hillcrest High School was established in 1958 in north Springfield. We are one of five high schools within Springfield Public Schools. Hillcrest has an average enrollment of 1,100 students per year, making it the smallest of the five high schools. Hillcrest is the only high school in Springfield to have a JROTC program. Hillcrest also has an award-winning TV and internet-based magazine, which has become one of the nation's most honored scholastic journalism programs. Students participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities, including MSHSAA athletic and club activities.
