Elementary Virtual Courses

  • Launch Into Math

    Grades 1-5

    Online

    Assesses current level in mathematics, then provides individualized instruction. Students are encouraged to participate in their adaptive software daily.  Small-group and one on one instruction with a teacher is also available. 

     


  • Launch Into Reading: Lexia

    Grades 1-5

    Online

    Provides differentiated literacy instruction, explicit, systematic, personalized learning in the six areas of reading instruction, targeting skill gaps as they occur. Students are encouraged to participate in their adaptive software daily.  Small-group and one on one instruction with a teacher is also available. 

     

     


  • Meet Me at the Fair

    Grades 1-5

    Seated or Online (June only)

    Visit historic World’s Fair events in St. Louis, Chicago and New York and engage in targeted, grade-level science, social studies, math and reading activities. Social emotional learning lessons, fine arts and physical education included.

     


  • Olympic Tour

    Grades 1-5

    Online (July only)

    Investigate the intellectual aspects of athleticism while examining Olympic history, learning about the event's wide world of cultures and studying individual and team Olympic sports.

     

  • Launch Into Coding

    Grades 3-5

    Online

    Explore how programmers develop digital projects and games. Experience different levels of coding, such as designing games, characters, music, drawing, or even programming a digital robot. 

     

     


  • Launch Into Reading:  Reading Plus

    Grades 3-5

    Online

    Receive individualized instruction after assessment. Designed for students who have graduated from Lexia. Students are encouraged to participate in their adaptive software daily.  Small-group and one on one instruction with a teacher is also available. 

     


  • iPicture

    Grades 4-5

    Online

    Explore how photography can be used to express yourself.  Students will be expected to write a variety of writing genres and respond to online discussions. Google docs, Google slides, cameras, iPads, Canvas and a variety of other technology resources will be used. Chromebooks and book club books will be provided for this course.
