  • Career Exploration experiences are geared towards 8th-10th grade students and encourage students to develop personal career interests, a better understanding of pathways to a chosen career and the workplace readiness skills needed to make informed decisions regarding secondary and postsecondary education and training. These experiences include Informational Interviews,Career Days, and Job Shadowing.

  • AgVenture

    AgVenture is a program developed through a partnership with the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds and SPS. The purpose of this program is to create a middle school opportunity for students to follow interests in agricultural sciences as well as other related career fields. 

    WBL Continuum: Career Exploration

    Grade: 7th Grade - 25 students from across the district are chosen in both the fall and the spring to participate in this 4-day immersive experience. 

    SPS Sites:

    • District Wide
    • Eligibility Requirements:
      • 95% attendance or better
      • No OSS or ISS in current or previous semester
      • Endorsement of site principal
      • Parent/guardian transportation will be needed.
  • Careers in Conservation

    Careers in Conservation is a program developed through a partnership with the John A. & Genny Morris Wonders of Wildlife Education Center and SPS for students to explore their passions and interests in the field of animal, land and resource conservation.
