All charter transportation vendors used to transport students must be on this list. A pre-approval process has been implemented in order to protect our students and employees, and limit the liability exposure of the District in the event of a bus breakdown, accident, or injuries to passengers.
The approval process requires vendors meet the following requirements:
- Proper insurance
- FMVSS school bus standards
- Annual inspection documentation
- DOT compliance (including procedures to provide second drivers if the trip will not be completed within the legal limit of 10 driving hours)
Any new charter transportation vendors that would like to be added to this list will need to go through the pre-approval and contract process. Direct any inquiries for new charter vendors to our Contract Coordinator at (417) 523-0159 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
For trips $3,500 and greater, solicitations amongst these approved vendors are required.
