Surplus Property Available to SPS Sites

  • District employees can view surplus items available at the General Services Center. Please keep in mind that these items are for the most part in USED condition.

    • Click on the folder associated with the item you are searching for.
    • Provide your site secretary/head custodian the picture number of the item you want so they can enter the request in SchoolDude.  REMINDER:  Items are available on first come, first serve basis.
    • Once the request is processed, the item will be delivered to your site as soon as possible.


    Available items can be viewed in person at the General Service Center, 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Surplus Property Disposal

  • The district  disposal methods  include online internet auctions. Select property is auctioned through GovDeals, an online auction service. This provides the district the opportunity to dispose of surplus items on an ongoing basis.

    Registration with GovDeals is required to bid on an item, but is not required to view listed items. Items are posted as they become available and are sold "as is, where is". A full disclosure of the terms of each sale is posted with the item being sold.

    Selling surplus property online ensures that we get the best possible price for our vehicles, equipment and other property. There is also the added benefit of being able to sell property year-round instead of waiting for an annual auction which reduces storage and depreciation costs.

    Type Springfield R-12 in the search box and search by keyword. If no items are listed, we do not currently have surplus items available for auction.

    All District surplus property must be sent to the distribution center for disposal.
