It's the top honor for a high school theater production.
Central High School's fall production of "Hadestown: Teen Edition" has been selected to perform at the MOThespian Conference in January 2025. The statewide conference will feature performances from the top teaching artists and high school performers in Missouri.
Central was one of two schools selected for MainStage.
"We are so honored to share our production with theatre students from all over the state of Missouri," said Dr. Gretchen Teague, theatre director at Central High School. "This is a truly special cast and crew, and it means so much to me as their teacher to see them getting recognized for their hard work and dedication as performers, artists and technicians. The cast and crew set their goal to be one of two schools that would be asked this year to perform at the Missouri Thespian Conference, and look at us! We did it!"
