"I take pride in my job and I love helping people. By building relationships and doing what it takes to get resources and help for our families that are new to the education process, I can help with their concerns and needs.
By serving my school community as a secretary, I have the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. Building those relationships with the students, families and co-workers and knowing how important my role is keeps me coming back.
Here at Shady Dell Early Childhood Center, making connections with our littles and being a part of their growth is what it is all about. Every staff member plays an important role in getting them ready for kindergarten. The experiences they have with early childhood sets that stage. In my role, I have the opportunity to be the friendly face and offer them a calm area to play games and feel safe. When students come in to see me it brightens my day. Serving families, connecting with students -- this is my why!"
