Springfield Scholars earned a top 10% team award for Middle School Math Olympiad

For the 2021-2022 school year, Scholars MOEMS participants earned a top 10% team plaque

This year, 21 Springfield Scholars Program students participated in the Middle School Math Olympiad for Elementary &  Middle School (MOEMS) for grades 6-8.

MOEMS is composed of Five Olympiads, one occurring each month between November and March. MOEMS participants are from every state and approximately 39 countries with over 120,000 students, competing in either the elementary division or middle school division and MOEMS teams are composed of up to 35 students. \

Awards for this highly competitive program are given to teams in the top 10%, and individual students may earn award patches for being in the top 50% of all participating students, silver level pins for top 10%, and gold level pins for the top 2% of all participating students.

"A huge congratulations to our Springfield Scholars Program MOEMS participants," said Audra Uzzell, Scholars program teacher. "I'm so proud of this team, their accomplishments and all they've learned this year."

 

For the 2021-2022 school year, Scholars MOEMS participants earned a top 10% team plaque, the first time we have received one of these since we’ve been participating in MOEMS. in addition to 16 of our participants earned the following individual awards:
