Magnet School Parent Information Night set for Oct. 21, 2021

Parent Information Night

SPS students in grades 4-8 have choices about where they spend their school year.

On Thursday, Oct. 21, parents, families and their students are invited to attend the SPS Choice Parent Information Night. This informative night will feature presentations for all five SPS magnet schools, an interactive Fifth Grade Exhibition, opportunities to meet magnet school teachers and more.

“This night is a real opportunity for families to come together and explore the many choices available for students at SPS Magnet Schools,” said Kelsey Brabo, director of choice programs. “Parents will get a real look into the possibilities that are available for SPS students with these unique learning programs, which are designed to ignite students’ passions and connect with student interests.”

 

SPS Magnet Schools:

  • AgAcademy (grades 4-5, 100 students, new in 2022)
  • Academy of Exploration (grade 5, 50 students)
  • Academy of Fine & Performing Arts (grade 5, 50 students)
  • Health Sciences Academy @Mercy (grade 8, 50 students)
  • WOLF School (grade 5, 46 students)

6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

6 to 6:30 p.m.

Optional program specific breakout sessions begin at 6:35 p.m.
