Study Alternative Center senior Kylie Hunley represented Jobs for America's Graduates, Study High School and SPS at the 2020 Southwest Missouri Nonprofit Excellence Awards. Study JAG advisor Tom Stine was invited to attend the event by board Co-Chair Missouri First Lady Teresa Parson and JAG Missouri Executive Director Paul Kincaid. Stine was encouraged to select a student to also attend the awards, and Kylie was Stine's immediate choice.

"Not only is Kylie a fantastic student and amazing mom to her 8-month-old son, Kendrick, but as we discovered last night, she is more mature, affable and poised than most high school students I've met," said Stine.

Kylie spent the evening learning from JAG Missouri board members, later joining the First Lady and Kincaid on stage when JAG Missouri was honored as one of three finalists for Nonprofit of the Year.

"When Kylie graduates from Study on May 8, I for one will be extremely sad to see her go," said Stine. "She's an amazing young woman, and we are lucky to have her at Study and in JAG."
