Faces of SPS: Meet Bryan Saunders, Bond Project Manager
Faces of SPS
Meet Bryan Saunders, Bond Project Manager
Q: “You oversee four major Proposition S construction projects, as well as 11 secure entrance construction projects. Why did you want to be a part of this work?”
A: “I studied architecture, worked as a construction manager and have served in a variety of roles in Building Services at SPS since 2006. But this job is the best part of everything. I get to be a part of every step of the process, from the design and groundbreakings all the way through to when the doors open. I’m there, and I build relationships with great companies who are working day in and day out to be on budget, on time, with these massive projects. The number of checks and balances in place to ensure every aspect of the project is within specifications, especially financially, is intense. But we’re building schools to last 100 years. I’m proud to be a part of the process to ensure that the schools we’re building precisely, and accurately, match all designs, meet all codes and, most importantly, are spaces for students to learn.”
