Flu season is around the corner! Springfield Public Schools, in cooperation with Jordan Valley Community Health Center, and with support from CoxHealth, Mercy and the Springfield-Greene County Health Department, is offering seasonal flu vaccine, FREE OF CHARGE, to any student while supplies last.

For your convenience, an online version of the required consent form is available by clicking the button below. Return the completed and signed form to your child's school nurse. Paper copies of the required consent form are also available at each school.

Flu vaccine clinics will be held Sept. 23-Oct. 18. The clinic schedule can also be found by clicking the button below.  The Inactivated Influenza (flu shot) Vaccine will be administered.   View immunization information in other languages.

While the timing of flu season is unpredictable, seasonal flu activity can begin as early as October and last as late as May. CDC recommends that people get vaccinated by the end of October, if possible.  It takes about two weeks after vaccination for antibodies to develop in the body that protect against influenza virus infection.
