Special Program activities provide for an opportunity for students to engage in special interests in addition to the more formal class activities.  Such activities help to develop in students the abilities necessary for leadership as well as those necessary for working as part of a group.  Those who have special talents in some particular field are given an opportunity to improve their skills to an extent not usually afforded in the  classroom. A good program of student activities also provides opportunity for students to discover latent capacities and to develop interests in new fields.
