  • Why IB?

    The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

    To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.

    These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

  • Project Lab 9

    The purpose of Project Lab 9 is to build community among the students, develop skills to successfully participate in the community and succeed as a student, provide support and intervention to all freshmen. Focus will be given to the approaches to learning skills of communication, social, self management in order to develop learners who take responsibility for their own learning and have an understanding of their role in the community. The weekly schedule will be based on building ATL skills, monitoring grades, student needs and the completion of school and community projects. The community built in the PL9 will continue to provide support for students as they move into PL 10 and complete the MYP Personal Project in 10th grade.

    The purpose of Personal Project Lab 10 is to build community among the students, develop skills to successfully become lifelong learners and succeed as a student, provide support and intervention to all sophomores. Approaches to learning skills will be research, thinking, communication, social, and self management. Learners will take responsibility for their own learning and have an understanding of their role in learning. The weekly schedule will be based on monitoring grades, student need and the completion of the Personal Project.
