"IB programmes incorporate quality practice from national and international research and the IB global community. They encourage students to be internationally-minded, within a complex and hyper-connected world." The IB Diploma and Career-Related Programs are rigorous, internationally recognized college-preparatory pathways for highly motivated students.
The Central High School International Baccalaureate Diploma and Career-Related Programs are now accepting applications for the 2020-2021 school year. Any SPS student who wishes to participate in either program pathway should apply for admission by December 1 of the 8th grade year. The application includes a short essay and should be completed by the student. Applicants will receive notification of admission status in early December. Late applications will be considered on a space available basis.
In addition to the application (completed by the student), parents or guardians of SPS students living outside of the Central High School attendance area must apply must apply for a transitional transfer. The district transitional transfer request must be made through the SPS website between 7:30 a.m. on Friday, November 1 and 4:30 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2019. No late submissions will be accepted. If a transfer is approved, the student may attend Central High School regardless of IB Program acceptance.
