I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at Evangel University. Murphy Rachel Murphy, Rachel Teacher C: Teachers - 1: First Grade My name is Ms. Murphy and I am a 1st grade teacher at Holland. I was born in Saint Louis and moved to Springfield in 2014. I love living in Springfield, especially because of how close it is to the lake. I really enjoy being on the water and in the sunshine, but I also often take trips to different cities to visit family and friends. I graduated from Missouri State University in 2018 with a degree in Elementary Education and have a passion for teaching.

Before I became a second grade teacher I was a Reading Intervention Specialist. I have been teaching at Holland since 2011 and love our school community. This is the best place to be! I grew up in Knoxville, IA and went to college at Evangel University and Drury University. When I am not teaching, I like to spend time with my family. I am married and have two children and six grandchildren. I also love to read, ride bikes, and spend time outdoors.
Kovacs Eva Kovacs, Eva Teacher C: Teachers - 3: Third Grade My name is Ewa Kovacs and I have been working with Springfield Public Schools since 2010. Prior to that, I worked as a kindergarten teacher in Poland, where I was born and raised. After moving to the U.S., I worked as a first and third grade teacher for Norwood Public Schools. When I am not at school, I like to garden, cook, and spend time with my family. We enjoy hiking and traveling. I love being part of Holland family, and I am looking forward to another fulfilling year.
Risenhoover Christina Risenhoover, Christina Teacher C: Teachers - 4: Fourth Grade My name is Christina Risenhoover. I have been teaching in Springfield Public Schools since 2010. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and am currently teaching 4th grade at Holland Elementary. Wise Rhonda Wise, Rhonda Teacher C: Teachers - 5: Fifth Grade My name is Rhonda Wise. I joined Springfield Public Schools in 2006 as a 3rd grade teacher at Westport Elementary. This means I work in all the classrooms at Holland and I have the opportunity to observe student work from all grade levels in all subject areas. I live on a farm in North Springfield where I enjoy raising chickens, working in my garden, birdwatching and spending time with my family.

As a child, I was introduced to people from all over the world, which led to a lifetime love of languages and cultures.
