About Our School

  • Weaver Elementary School, originally known as Sixth Ward School, was constructed in 1887.  The school was named after Joseph Weaver, Mayor of Springfield.  In 1931, a new building was opened on Douglas and Division. In 2006, voters approved a bond that included expanding and remodeling Weaver.

Message from the Principal

  • My name is Cindy Webster and I am passionate about learning and ensuring all students receive a high-quality education.  Weaver is fortunate to have the best teachers and staff, as well as many great community partnerships.

When I am not at school, I love being with my family.  My husband, Jared and I have two children, Addison and Landon, who bring much joy to our lives.  As a family, we like to play outside, travel to new places, and being together with friends and family.
