Educators in Springfield Public Schools have created a packet of learning opportunities for your Early Childhood student that can be used at home during the weeks students are not attending school.
It is important to realize that learning can take place in all environments and that the majority of young children’s learning is done through play.
If your student receives special education services (has an IEP) through SPS, your student’s case manager will be reaching out via phone or email to discuss options for services and how to continue progress toward goals. If you are unsure if your student has an IEP, please contact your teacher.
If you choose to share a picture of your student learning during this closure on social media, please use the hashtag #SPSatHome so we can see your student’s learning in action!
This packet contains the following items:
- A sample daily schedule that can be used at home.
- Parent guides for student activities.
- Activities for preschoolers to complete with their parents and/or independently.
Teachers are planning weekly class meetings and times each day they will be available to you for questions or learning support. Specific times will be communicated to you by your child’s teachers.
