S.T.E.A.M. Club and Science Olypiad

STEAM Club meets on Thursday afternoons from 2:30 - 3:15pm

The 4^th grade STEAM club will start Thursday September 25^th, continue every other week, and will end on Thursday April 23^rd , 2026 .

• If there is a snow-day the club will send home a flyer with updated dates to make up for lost days.

Seating will be limited to 20 students from 4^th grade.

All participants must sign and return this flyer to Mr. Scott by Friday Sept. 12^th.  First come First serve so sign up quickly.

By signing this form, you agree that you have reliable transportation and will pick up your student by 3:15 each Thursday. If you are late (15+ minutes) picking up your student more than one time, they will not be welcomed back the following weeks. If there are any changes in transportation plans, please be sure to call the office no later than 1 pm, the day of the club, McBride phone number is 417-523-4500. Safety in STEAM club is paramount. The classroom rules that are in effect during regular school hours will apply to the STEAM club. Being safe with hands, feet, and words will increase student opportunity. If students do not follow the posted and visible safety expectations, they will be removed from the STEAM club. Thank you for your support!

STEAM Club & Science Olympiad

Hey Parents of our Steam Club 25-26! We have the opportunity to compete in the Science Olympiad November 8, 2025 at SMU. Transportation will be provided by SPS from McBride to MSU on Saturday.  We would like your commitment that your child will be able to attend that day.  Our first club day we will go over the categories available at the event. They can team up. Our club will meet every other week as said before. After the competition, we will transition into other projects to display at Science night in January.

By signing this form you agree- your child can practice for and participate in the Science Olympiad on November 8^th,2025; Pick up at 3:15pm; and all previously stated rules.

We will meet in the Library right after school and pick at the library door. Please, have appropriate clothing. We could be outside sometimes, have clothes/shoes that they can work in and be messy. Eventually, we will try using glue guns, paints, etc. Please return this form to Mr. Scott so we have your email. SNACKS:  we will have some chips but suggest they bring their own snacks.
