Student Accident Insurance Coverage

The Springfield School District strives to provide a safe environment for all students during all school classes, sports and activities. However, accidental injuries cannot always be avoided.

The District recommends all families obtain and maintain student accident insurance for their student(s) to provide coverage in the event of accidental injuries.

All students that desire to participate in school sports are required by MSHSAA to have basic insurance coverage in effect before students are permitted to participate in Springfield School District interscholastic sports tryouts, practices or games.

*The District does not administer or control the student accident insurance program offered through K&K Insurance. Any decision regarding coverage, claims, or benefits rests solely with K&K Insurance. The District’s role is limited to making families aware of the availability of this program as an option, and participation is strictly voluntary.
