Options available to families needing back-to-school clothing
Two upcoming opportunities will give families options meet their needs for back-to-school clothes.
The PTA Clothing Bank will be open Tuesday, Aug. 14, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The PTA Clothing Bank is located at 2343 W. Olive Street inside Study Alternative Center. Enter on the northeast side of the building.
Help Give Hope, which provides assistance to families who need support to meet basic needs like rent and utilities, is hosting a charity sale Saturday, Aug. 11. Household items and clothing for the entire family will be available.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for families preparing for back to school to get new and gently used clothing at affordable prices,” explained Murray Beairsto, Help Give Hope executive director. The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in its warehouse located at 2809 N. Cedarbrook.
