Pittman Elementary School received the Dr. Norman C. Gysbers Nationally Recognized Missouri Program (NRM) award for Missouri school counseling programs in honor of the incredible work counselor Crystal Elliott is doing.

The award is given to schools whose counseling programs make a positive impact on student success and the school community. Pittman’s counseling program received the award based on their emphasis on systemic change within the school, use of data, consistent program improvement and the collaboration of all stakeholders within the school community.

This award means Pittman’s counseling program has achieved both state and national recognition as a Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) through the American School Counselor Association.
