In addition to teaching Spanish in Room 225 at Central High School, Armando Johnson will soon join the cast of Teaching in Room 9, an award-winning kids’ program produced by Nine PBS in St. Louis. Now in its ninth season, Teaching in Room 9 is a weekly program developed to help prepare young learners for school.
Each 30-minute episode is hosted by Dr. Albert Sanders, along with lessons from some of the region’s best classroom teachers, special guests and fun field trips. Every episode focuses on literacy and includes segments on school readiness, social-emotional learning, STEM and movement.
As Teaching in Room 9’s newest cast member, Armando will appear in 9 two-minute segments teaching Spanish to young viewers. The nine episodes featuring Mr. Johnson will begin airing over the course of 18 weeks sometime in spring 2025.
