On a sunny Friday at Nathanael Greene Park, students from the Academy of Exploration, AgAcademy and Health Science Academy @Mercy embarked on an epic contest: the Choice Amazing Race.
Together in teams led by volunteers, more than 250 students worked together to solve 10 clues on a scavenger hunt.
"At AOE, our unit has been Connect," said Natalie Schifsky, AOE teacher. "This week we focused on connecting to choice programs, and this event was the culmination to see if students could collaborate, achieve and connect with students in the other magnet schools."
Teams navigated the sprawling park to find 10 locations and complete missions, including quizzes, photo/video submissions and GPS points.
"Today was a fun day, but it was also a day full of learning," said Schifsky.
