Nominations for 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year are now open
Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year. To be eligible, the nominee must have four or more years teaching experience with SPS.
To nominate a teacher for this honor, simply click on the link below. The nomination form is simple and can be submitted by a student, parent, co-worker or supervisor. Just fill out the pertinent information and explain in 100 words or less why you are nominating the individual. All nominations will be kept confidential.
Nominations must be submitted by 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 31. Contact Jeff Rogers in Human Resources at jarogers@spsmail.org or 523-0735 with questions. Nominees will be notified by Friday, Feb. 5 concerning items they will need to submit to be considered as a Teacher of the Year finalist.
The 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year will be named at the annual Celebrate SPS event hosted by Foundation for Springfield Public Schools. The winner will then apply for Missouri Regional Teacher of the Year. Regional winners will advance and compete in the Missouri State Teacher of the Year Program.
