SPS students compete at annual elementary math tournament
More than 50 SPS elementary students competed at the SPS Elementary Math Tournament Nov. 23 at Gray Elementary.
"This event celebrates our students who are passionate about mathematics," said Catherine Castillo, coordinator of 21st century numeracy. "It gives our students the opportunity to be challenged in a competitive setting, competing as both individuals and in teams. For these students, it helps to reinforce that math is fun."
