Cherokee students create artwork for a special holiday
Residents of the Glendale Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will celebrate Valentine’s Day with special artwork created for them by eighth-grade art students at Cherokee Middle School.
Art teacher Kristin Sholtis has organized this effort for the past five years in collaboration with the activities director at Glendale Gardens. Her students have designed and created special artwork as gifts for the residents, including a large mural and individual ceramic hearts.
