Hundreds of holiday baskets delivered to Westport K-8 families for Thanksgiving

On Saturday, Nov. 22, volunteers from James River church helped distribute nearly 200 Thanksgiving holiday baskets to families. 

Each basket included traditional Thanksgiving food for families to prepare for the holiday. The baskets were generously donated by James River church to help meet the needs of Westport students.

“It’s one of our favorite times of year as we get to share the love in practical, joy-filled ways,” said Gwen Walker, assistant director of community care at James River.
