Arvest Bank donates for Study caps and gowns
On Friday, Dec. 19, the second quarter graduates of Study Alternative Center walked the halls in their caps and gowns to the applause of their fellow students. This was made possible thanks to a generous donation from Arvest Bank.
Many times, graduates of Study cannot afford to purchase a cap and gown. Arvest Bank has stepped in, donating $1,000 to cover the cost of the traditional graduation regalia for Study students.
Study Alternative Center meets students where they’re at when their traditional home school is not working for them. For many of these students, graduation didn’t seem to be a realistic goal at some point in their academic career. This adds to the meaning and significance to a simple cap and gown.
