Adah Fulbright Early Childhood Center - Progress as Promised

  • In April 2019, Springfield voters approved Proposition S which enables Springfield Public Schools to make facility improvements to a number of schools, including building a new early childhood center. SPS will invest $12.69 million to build this new center on the Carver campus.  On Jan. 21, 2020, the Board of Education approved naming the facility the Adah Fulbright Early Childhood Center.  New construction will:

    • Provide a safe room.
    • Capitalize on state funding for operation costs for free/reduced lunch qualified preschool students.
    • Serve up to 250 preschool students.
