Jarrett Project
In April 2019, Springfield voters approved Proposition S which enables Springfield Public Schools to make facility improvements to a number of schools, including building a new Jarrett Middle School. SPS will invest $41.54 million to build the new facility on the current Portland property. Minor boundary adjustments will be made after construction. Improvements will include:
- Address accessibility and security challenges
- Safe room gymnasium
- Expanded space for outside extra-curricular programming
- Serve up to 725 students in grades 6-8
