Early Childhood Education

Preschool Programs

Wonder Years is a full-time early childhood program for children who turn four years-old before August 1st.  Students attend classes Monday through Friday.

LEAD Academy is a part-time early childhood program.  Students attend classes in either a morning or afternoon session Monday through Thursday.  LEAD students attend Early Childhood Special Education classes alongside preschool peers with developmental delays.  LEAD = Leadership, Empathy, Advocacy, Diversity.

After-school care is available for full-day students at our Early Childhood Centers. Space is limited and the tuition is set on a weekly basis.

Enrollment Procedure

If you are interested in enrolling your child in Wonder Years or LEAD Academy, please complete the steps below:

  1. Complete the Early Childhood Interest Form
     
  2. Call (417) 523-1333 to schedule a preschool screening or submit a screening appointment request and someone will be in touch with you.
     
  3. Bring your child's immunization record, birth certificate, proof of residency, and parent/guardian photo ID with you to the screening appointment.  You will also complete registration paperwork during the screening appointment. Click here to view Missouri preschool immunization requirements.
     
  4. Complete the SPS Online Enrollment Application

After submitting the Interest Form, you will receive an email with further instructions.
