Secondary English Language Arts

Goals: 

Goal 1: Work collaboratively to provide a challenging, rigorous, and standards-based curriculum that addresses individual student needs, focuses on academic growth, and employs best practice and current research.

Goal 2: Promote the success and well-being of every student by modeling kindness, empathy, integrity, inclusivity, flexibility, and respect.

Goal 3: Utilize data from intentional, standards-based assessments (within the PLC framework through professional collaboration) to guide instruction and monitor student growth.

Goal 4: Model lifelong learning through site-based collaboration, professional development opportunities, and commitment to a growth mindset.

Goal 5: Support our colleagues as professionals and individuals.  We will recognize the effort and expertise of all members of our department as we navigate challenges in the pursuit of solutions by celebrating successes and encouraging vulnerability.
