GO CAPS

GO CAPS is a nationally recognized program providing students with an innovative way to learn during high school.  Through GO CAPS, students are fully immersed in a professional culture, solving real world problems, using industry standard tools and are mentored by actual employers, all while receiving high school credit. GO CAPS is an example of how business, community and public education can partner to produce personalized learning experiences that educate the workforce of tomorrow, especially in high skill, high demand jobs. The program is open to high school junior and seniors through an application process.

Business & Entrepreneurship

The Business & Entrepreneurship strand provides students with a framework for unique learning experiences, introducing a new theme through targeted business projects and business partner engagement.

Students explore marketing, finance, leadership, and innovation while working on real-world projects with local entrepreneurs and business professionals. Through collaboration, problem-solving, and creative thinking, students develop the skills and mindset needed to launch ventures, lead teams, and thrive in today’s dynamic business environment, while housed in the business incubator space at the eFactory.

Engineering & Manufacturing

The Engineering & Manufacturing strand at GO CAPS immerses students in hands-on, project-based learning focused on design, production, and problem-solving.

Students work with industry professionals to explore engineering principles, advanced manufacturing processes, and modern technologies.Through real-world challenges, students build technical skills, collaborate in teams, and gain experience preparing for careers in engineering, manufacturing,and related fields; while being housed at the Plaster Center for Advanced Manufacturing.

Medicine & Healthcare

The Medicine & Healthcare strand at GO CAPS provides students with hands-on experiences exploring careers in healthcare and medical sciences.

Medicine & Healthcare

Students work alongside healthcare professionals to learn about patient care, medical technology, and health systems while developing critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills. Through real-world learning and exposure to industry practices, students gain valuable insight into pathways leading to healthcare and medical careers; while being house at the newly renovated Alliance for Healthcare Education & Mercy Hospital.
