Facility Master Plan: WHY

The Importance of a Plan

A student draws on a piece of paper with a pencil.

To be successful in providing for the needs of all learners, we must work together to match needs to resources. And just like we all do in our personal lives, SPS needs to make well thought-out decisions to plan for our future.

The purpose of a facility master plan is to develop and communicate a long-range vision for facilities that will best support our students' current and future educational needs. It will serve as a guide for assessing the need for facility improvements and capital investments to implement them.

As we move forward, having a formal facility master plan will assist us with ensuring that our buildings create a quality learning environment that fosters engaging, relevant, and personal learning experience for every learner every day.
