Visitor Management System FAQs

Hall Pass visitor management system automates the process of vetting visitors and printing visitor badges.  When a visitor arrives in the office, office personnel ask for a driver’s license or other government-issued identification credential.  The visitor management system hardware can scan the ID and screen the visitor’s identity by searching databases of registered sex offenders.  The administrator can also manually enter information denying admission to certain visitors.  Finally, because Hall Pass requires visitors to sign out, verification of who has left the school might be important for first responders attempting to account for who is still inside the school in the event of an emergency.

Visitors who are only going to be confined to the main office do not need to get a visitor badge through the Hall Pass system (i.e. dropping off a lunch, homework, etc.).  Visitors who are going to enter the school and be around students (i.e. eat lunch with a student, assist in a classroom, etc.) are required to use the Hall Pass system to print an ID badge.

The individual who is flagged will need to speak to the principal who will deny them access to the school.  The individual will then be directed to contact the Student and School Services department at 417-523-0000.

If a visitor does not have government issued identification, office staff will have to manually input the visitor’s legal name and birthdate into the system.  Office staff will also take a picture of the visitor.
