Prepared and Ready

Police officers with the Springfield School Police Department are required to be prepared and ready for each shift. A huge part of that preparedness comes from constant training. Knowing that they are entrusted with the lives of children and staff every day, each officer undergoes extensive and ongoing training.

 SSPD officers attend training that is provided both by the department and outside agencies.  The State Of Missouri requires officers to complete continuing education classes in order to maintain their Missouri Peace Officer Certification.
