Medical

SPS provides employee-only coverage at no cost to the employee. Dependent coverage is available at the employee's cost.  The medical plan is self-funded. Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield is our network provider beginning January 1, 2026. This network gives access to both Mercy and Cox Health providers. Employees may use non-preferred providers; however, the deductibles and out-of-pocket amounts are higher. Point C (formerly Med Pay) is our third party administrator. The District's contribution to employee group health insurance premiums is determined annually by the Board of Education. 

MED-PAY WILL OFFICIALLY REBRAND AS POINT C JANUARY 1, 2026

This rebrand coincides with our move to the Anthem provider network, so that beginning on January 1, 2026, our medical coverage will be administered by Point C, utilizing the Anthem provider network. Point C works with Anthem to process your medical claims.
